Noisettes lead lady, Shingai takes us Back of House with an all access look into her glam charity sale at Sanderson:
Shingai Shoniwa, vocalist and bassist for the UK indie rock band Noisettes, is making the big move to Los Angeles. But before her departure she has decided to conduct a glam charity sale of all her belongings at Sanderson London, including her vintage Mercedes.
People close to Shingai’s heart attended the event in our Courtyard Garden at Sanderson. “I think it’s really nice for them to be able to buy Christmas presents that have more like a story for them; it’s that time of the year”, explains Shingai. The proceeds raised from the sale of the clothes is going to the disaster effort in the Philippines and the Ponayi charity.

Having performed at Sanderson before, Shingai explains: “I decided that Sanderson would be the perfect venue to host this event because it’s very close to my heart and I love the Courtyard, I find it really dreamy and I like the atmosphere there. The last time we performed there during London Fashion Week”, she continues, “I remember being draped over the water fountain outside. I also like the story of it as an old wall paper company, that’s why I like an atmosphere that has a story connected to it, and me, my music and my art have so many stories behind it”.
